Synesis Software Open License (SSOL)

The Synesis Software Open License (SSOL) is used to indicate that you are relinquishing all rights to the work. Once you release source code under this license you are effectively giving it to the development community at large.

Typical applications of this license are:  
 
  • Code samples included in articles
  •  
  • Educational materials, eg. small illustrative code blocks
  • To use the SSOL, include in a prominent place (such as the start of the source file) the license template given below, substituting the date for DATE, your name or organisation (or both) for PROVIDER and, optionally, your contact information (usually email and web-address) for CONTACT. In using this license you are surrendering your copyright. Anyone can do anything they like with any part of the text - it doesn't get any freer than this.
